Re: Maya Mac

I'm experiencing lag in Maya with complexer models, when I move the SpaceMouse and let go, the camera in Maya keeps going for a bit. All the while it moves in slow motion. It's not that the Mac can't handle the model, since using mouse and keyboard commands to move the camera moves super smoothly, n...

Re: Maya 2024 support and Horizon bug fix

10.8.3 finally gave us Maya 2024 support! 🥳 The Lock Horizon function is still not working, though. Which makes using the SpaceMouse in Maya tedious. So I'm still debating staying with 2023 and 10.7.4 for now. Which sucks, since Maya 2023 is not Apple Silicon compatible, so runs slower than 2024 doe...

Maya 2024 support and Horizon bug fix

There is still no Maya 2024 support in 10.8.2? Any clues on when we can expect this to happen? It has been out for months, really want to upgrade. And I keep switching back to 10.7.4 since that was the last release (!) that doesn't suffer from the Fix Horizon function not working. Using the SpaceMou...

Movement in Maya becomes laggy over time

I am currently running 10.7.2 (3454) for my SpaceMouse Pro Wireless on MacOS 12.4 with Maya 2023 and for the most part the driver works flawlessly. I have had 0 crashes of Maya since using this version of the driver :) The only issue that keeps coming back is that over time viewport/camera translati...

Thanks for the suggestion, ngomes. I reached out to them :)

Re: Maya 2023

Can we at least get a broad indication on when to expect support for Maya 2023?

Maya 2023

Is there any word on when we can expect support for Maya 2023? Maya 2023 doesn't recognise any SpaceMouse pro input. Reinstalling the current driver and plugins doesn't help, so I'm guessing we need a maya 2023 specific plug-in? I'm liking some of the changes to Maya, so would love to actually start...

Re: macOS Big Sur and Monterey - Pre-release Driver Available

Great news ngomes.
I'll install it right now and I'll report back with my findings once I have spent some time with it this week :)

Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available

Is there any word on when we might expect the random SpaceMouse unresponsiveness in Maya (2022.2) in Monterey to be resolved? [...] Restarting Maya "fixes" the issue. The next release is expected to improve stability in Maya but we don't yet have a definite answer. Thanks for the update :)

Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available

Is there any word on when we might expect the random SpaceMouse unresponsiveness in Maya (2022.2) in Monterey to be resolved? At random times (I havent found a specific pattern, and it's not just while (auto)saving) the SpaceMouse knob will stop working in Maya, the buttons continue to function. It ...

Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available

Also, for Maya, the viewports not responding to the SpaceMouse movements issue is still there, and not just during an Auto Save action, I have noticed it happening at random intervals when it wasn't saving. Restarting Maya still "fixes" it, but simply waiting it out also works. After a few...

Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available

Unfortunately upgrading to macOS Monterey 12.0.1 brought back viewport glitching in Maya 2022.2, when set to Viewport 2.0. It doens't glitch when it is set to Arnold.

Re: macOS Big Sur - Beta Driver Available

Yes, movement while saving is definitely where the issue is. You can reproduce it by jiggling the knob and pressing CMD+S. It's not autosave, just saving while the knob is moving. The file needs a little time to save, I can't get it to work in an empty scene, but a larger one does it without fail if...
