Re: SpaceMouse & Bluetooth

Thanks JWick! I need to swap this dusty racing wheel & pedals with the new 3DMouse. I haven't used either in a long time. If it does end up working for mobile devices I was thinking that for apps that don't have controller support (such as through Bluetooth HID) perhaps a driver could be made to...

Re: SpaceMouse & Bluetooth

Good to hear that there's now support! 13 years ago I had requested Bluetooth for mobile devices. One device is a good start. https://forum.3dconnexion.com/viewtopic.php?p=23046 Has anyone tried the Bluetooth edition on Android or iOS devices? I suppose it's a given that WinOS and MacOS are supporte...

Re: Spacemouse wireless as a normal mouse

I believe spring loaded optical devices could be great 2D mices. Why not make a 2d mouse just like we have today (buttons on top, scroll wheel, same shape and all) but doesn't move? (at least not significantly, using very short throws) This would allow one to move and use buttons/scroll wheel simult...

Re: SpaceMouse & Bluetooth

I did request it about 9 years ago https://forum.3dconnexion.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4361 The next day someone requested wireless without specifying BlueTooth. This post a few years after https://forum.3dconnexion.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=7749 It would open up 3DMice to smartphones and tablets.

Re: 3DMouse gaming videos

There might be some good guides, but this is what I usually do Copy JoystickTemplate.xml from %programfiles%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore64\Cfg then paste here %appdata%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\Cfg\ Then rename the file to identify that app/game that it's for (retain the .xml suffix) Open it up with a...

Re: 3DMouse gaming videos

I created XML files for each of the game engines. Luckily the engines did support controllers. I've haven't tried Call of Duty Warzone, but it might be possible. https://www.gameskinny.com/lmlin/how-to ... zone-on-pc

Re: Exploring Earth with a 3DMouse

After a 5 year hiatus I've been creating quite a few new Cesium videos, I might as well link to the playlist as I keep adding more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZdHOEymqzc&list=PLu7ubzox5Ny6JIhF_tfsOuCMDtsro6ENh&index=19&t=0s Space Navigator lives up to its name, navigating Space! Do...

Exploring Earth with a 3DMouse

Cesium just enabled underground viewing, so I thought I'd check it out with my 3DMouse Cesium plugin (1st 3 minutes is with a 3DMouse, last minute was with keyboard just to skim the surface at a constant altitude.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZdHOEymqzc I remember the reason I bought my first 3...

3DMouse gaming videos

Made a webpage awhile back with many playlists of YouTube videos all with 3DMouse gaming. I believe all are 4K 60. Many of them are 90's games. A few newer ones which are all Valve productions (Portal 1, Half Life 2, Left for Dead 1.) I still have alot more to upload sitting on my harddrives that I ...

Re: Moving in one axis limits the range of others

I did discover the specific limitations to sub 1.0 scales and posted on this other thread https://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&p=70270#p70270 So why set less than 1? Access to more control input levels per axis for finer control (I had it set low for fast Descent, around 0.37) htt...

Re: Remove Frame Rate Cap?

Many 2DMouse drivers feature adjustable polling rates, up to 1000hz. It would be nice to see this in future 3DConnexion products. VR standard is 90fps, so it would be nice to have all input devices be able to match this at least, if not 144hz.

Re: Confilic Between Xbox-360 & Spacemouse

I'm not sure about the 'select the class' step, but after entering device manager into the start menu one can goto straight to view->devices by connection. I noticed that one can't disable the HID Keyboard device, but one can disable the HID-compliant game controller and HID-compliant mouse. Indeed ...

Re: Direct Input axis format

I believe there is a hierarchy for XML files with the ones in %appdata% executed last, so they can override any xml files before them. They can even augment. For example Google Earth, it uses the one in %programfiles%, and if you want a slight change it'll put the slight change XML in %appdata% For ...

Lots of words you can make with hex alpha digits https://github.com/tmk/tmk_keyboard/issues/150 dead beef cafe feed I supppose it's used mostly for prototypes? I did test the other 2 3DMice, I'll be sure to email you the results. There are at least 3 transport protocols to choose from in the XML fil...
