Open the 3d connexion control panel (use the icon in the taskbar or go to: START/PROGRAMS/3D CONNEXION/3D CONNEXION 3DXWARE/SHOW 3DXWARE CONTROL PANEL)

From the Device Configuration Tab, select the CALIBRATE button.

Let me know if there are then any changes in Google Earth.

The "clicking" sounds that you are hearing....are they mechanical or electronic sounds?
The Space Navigator should be silent in it's operation.
Do you have the Space Navigator SE or PE?

Unfortunately, as far as we know, Graphisoft has only implemented support for navigation in 3D environment. It may be helpful if you could contact Graphisoft directly.
I am sure they are interested in receiving feedback from their customers.

Alberto,

Serial to USB adapters are not supported. Proper connectivity cannot be achieved between the motion controller and the PC using any type of adapter.

Kirby,
Although the Space Navigator can not be used to emulate a standard PC mouse; if you download and install the Office Plug-in from: (www.3dconnexion.com/support/driver downloads)
you will be able to scroll in MS Office applications (such as Excel, etc).
