Re: 3DConnexion Drivers for Mac OS Mojave

Hi rjtiedeman, Note My iMac Pro (2017) was released 2 years ago. I came with OS Mojave installed. MacOS 10.14 shipped in late 2018 but you are right: the MAC-48 issue is also reproducible using macOS 10.13.x as we do have reports of affected systems running macOS 10.13.6. We've been looking at findi...

Re: 3DConnexion Drivers for Mac OS Mojave

Hi thejingles, After you Mac is up and running pull the receiver and reinsert it. You should then have connection. Supposed to be fixed in next release. Bob To clarify: we do not know when the issue with "having to re-plug devices" (MAC-48) can be fixed. As far as our tests show, the issue affects ...

Re: 3DConnexion Drivers for Mac OS Mojave

HI rjtiedeman , I installed the latest 10.6.3 drivers on my iMac Pro running OS 10.14.6. They are not working on restart. If I pull the USB receiver and replace everything is OK until restart. Looking forward to your next version. Alas, that's a separate issue to the notarization in macOS 10.14.5 an...

Re: 3DConnexion Drivers for Mac OS Mojave

Hi, We have published version 10.6.3 of 3DxWare 10 for macOS earlier today, July 23. The software is available for download from here and addresses MAC-112, the issue with the kernel extension installation on some Macs running macOS 10.14.5. The installation has been verified on macOS 10.14.5. We ha...

Re: 3DConnexion Drivers for Mac OS Mojave

Hi rjtiedeman, All NEW macs have The Apple T2 Security Chip. Most likely cause of our issues. Apple is all about security. "Lock HIM Up" Quoted from Apple. "For example, the T2 chip enables a new level of security by including a secure enclave coprocessor that secures Touch ID data and provides the ...

Re: 3DConnexion Drivers for Mac OS Mojave

Hi, Here's an update concerning the kernel extension installation problem on macOS 10.14.5. Although we were aware about the requirement to "notarize" all software for macOS 10.15, we did not register that macOS 10.14.5 introduced this requirement for kernel extensions. This alone is at the source o...

Then you will get this message. Dear developers, can you see this? macOS Catalina is coming... new driver in 2020?

Re: 3DConnexion Drivers for Mac OS Mojave

Hi,

Here's a word directly from the software team: we're on it. We had to pull version 10.6.2 due to the installation issue with the kernel extension (kext). We're currently investigating what causes it.

We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Strange 3DxPieMenus.exe Internet connection behavior

Hi luping, After many weeks of monitoring, I finally conclude that 3DxPieMenus.exe is doing validity check for digital certificate via OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol) by connecting to ocsp.digicert.com. Safe application behavior. For clarity: 3DxPieMenus.exe is not programmed to connect to...

Re: Mgl3DCtlrRPCService + CATIA - Memory Leak

Great! The new service binary you sent me today fixed this issue. Excellent. Thank you for taking the time to verify the fix and, again, for having reported it in the first place. Is there any ETA about the new version getting released? No hard ETA yet. The fix will be in the next release (v. 10.6....

Hi Lorenz,
Just PM me a link to the replaced service binary and i will test this out by tomorrow with me and 2 colleagues involved in this.
My colleagues in the technical support team will be getting in touch. You will have the opportunity to check a pre-release build of the affected executable.

Re: How to get the Fit button event.

Hi harem, I followed your instructions but it's still generating a new .xml file in %appdata% This is expected. User-modified and additional driver settings are saved to a file under %APPDATA%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\Cfg. We call this the user configuration for a file. It will have an <CfgProperties>\<I...

Re: Mgl3DCtlrRPCService + CATIA - Memory Leak

Hi Lorenz, I'm with Jim's team and I'd also like to thank you for bringing this up to our attention. If, in one hand, it is beyond satisfying to squash what we believe is a bug older than our SCM (we believe the bug is 15 years old or more), we are disappointed for not having offered the support you...

Re: Strange 3DxPieMenus.exe Internet connection behavior

For reference, 3Dconnexion will also use an "extended validation" (EV) certificate to sign executable files. The EV certificate (SHA-1 thumbprint "854f487f0e0f83cf5845071a9c52dc72d136dee4") has an expiration date of Nov 21, 2021. We're using the EV certificate to establish immediate "Smart Screen" r...
