I am also seeing this bug under RHEL5.1 x86_64 with a SpaceTraveller3. Buttons 1-7 work fine but 3DxWare (1.3) doesn't respond to button 8.

I have also tried deleting /etc/3DxWare and ~/.3dx* but this did not help either.
