Is it necessary to remove the screws under the label and rubber bits on the bottom? How to remove the controller cap? Than...

The result is an offset probably in the transform matrix (but I don't know much about that). Anyway the solution is to u...

"Camera Drift" in object Mode

Hello, I have a problem with 3dconnexion driver breaking the transform of cameras in Maya 2014. I'm using driver version 10.0.19. When I try to make an animation or synchronize positions of two cameras, when one of them was moved with the Space Pilot things go very bad. With animation camera keys ge...

Great!

Yes, with xhost - you close the access to your display again. As far as I know you could even do it in the same terminal where you started the driver. Just in case you want to do this in a script. (Then you should start the driver in the background.) Great! I will use that untill it get's fixed. Th...

Workaround?

Can I do this:

xhost +
start the driver
and then run xhost - in another terminal

will that return things to normal secure operation?

Hi eyeJ, does the driver start when you do first a xhost + localhost on the command line? Please add to the line in the /etc/inittab the options -E -debug. This will create a logfile when the driver starts. Maybe we find some hints in there. It will be /tmp/3DxWare.log. 3d:2345:respawn:/etc/3DxWare...

It was the keyboar causing trouble

I think I fixed the problem but I'll have to test it some more to be absolutely sure. Seems that the last time I cleaned my keyboard I misaligned something inside and because of that keyboard was causing the trouble. Now pressing the enter key on the letter part of the keyboard while changing values...

Re: Ubuntu 9.04 mad scrolling

I get standard two lines also the problem doesn't happen when I switch desktops with xvalue. I guess it must be a problem with maya plugin then or something related to xinput in ubuntu. I've set the SpacePilot not to be used as xinput device recently because I tried it with the open source driver fo...

Re: Ubuntu 9.04 mad scrolling

No I have:

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Disable"
EndSection

in xorg.conf so there is no extra 3d desktop effects enabled
