They care about sales just like any company. If they keep supporting old products you will never buy a new one, us telling people how good the support is and how nice the products are doesn't always translate to bloated balance sheets but making products with a limited life does! Believe me, I'd lov...

All these wasted years, being told "it can't be done", "ask your application provider", "not up to us" and then finally what we've been asking, begging and shouting for all this time is almost here, a user configurable driver. I almost feel dissapointed in a way, dissap...

3.7.12 drivers, can I change App1/2 ?

Hi, Well 3Dx, thanks for going part way at least to making my Spacepilot useable for someting other than Solidworks. I have a question regarding changing the supplied button configs. I can assign the browser/mail etc to buttons but I'd like to change App1 and App2 to something I need rather than Com...

Re: Attn Moderators 64bit Joystick Driver needed

[quote= It's understandable as to why they dont. They are more geared to the buisness indistry and not "gamers". They dont see the point in appealing to people that want joysticks in fear of looseing them "snooty" buisness peeps that will shun away once that "community"...

That ia how it works I'm afraid. Your SpaceNavigator will only function in applications that are aware of it and have routines to use it.

If you want it to function as a joystick type device then do a search on "RBC9 joystick driver". This may do what you want.

Work your way through this little lot

Don't bother asking 3Dx for any help regarding getting your device working as a joystick etc. I think we have all come to realise that it will never happen officially.

Mach3 CNC control software http://www.machsupport.com/ Mach has a joystick plugin which is used to jog the CNC mill or router etc. My CNC router is currently a three axis machine but I will inevitably add a fourth and probably fifth axis in time. The Navigator would make a great CNC jog pendant cont...

Hi,

I think it depends on the version of poser you are using. I beleive support for 3DX was only added in V7.02 so if you are running a version below that you need to install the 7.02 or upwards update.

I'm running Poser pro 7.03 and my SP is working fine

Thanks guys,

Yes looks like an OS install is on the cards to sort it out. I realise the RBC9 driver is unsupported so why don't you be good little programmers and write us a driver that is supported and doesn't break my OS  (that's a winking smiley for the humour impaired  )

Still having USB weirdness with Spacepilot

Hi all, I installed the RBC9 driver ages ago now (didn't work for me) and have suffered some weird USB behaviour since. I'd originally connected the SP to my hardwired ports and the RBC driver would not work so I tried connecting to a powered hub, didn't work either so I uninstalled the driver. Upon...

Re: No Photoshop users?

Hey, was just wondering why no one replied to my last message. All I want to know is if other people experience a problem with panning and zooming in Photoshop CS3. That is, not been able to pan and zoom simultaneeously, but had to zoom, then pan, then zoom again, then pan etc. Yes, same thing seen...

no if only they could come to more professional applications like Mudbox or Zbrush. However much I enjoy games, it would only frustrate me more to have use of my 6dof device in halflife and not zbrush. No, if only they could come to ALL applications, games and otherwise. What the hell is the point ...

Re: Previously, on the 3DConnexion forums

AAARRRGGHHHH! Again and again YOUR CUSTOMERS ask for a generic driver and again and again you point them to other software houses to do YOUR JOB. Can't you see that we don't just want to use the controller in specific applications? So you produce an API, great for high end apps like CAD etc. I am n...
