Fred, Thanks for the quick reply. I tried your suggestions but the SP. was still failing to be recognized. One note is that 2 days ago MS sent out malware and other updates which I downloaded and installed but I have had my computer running for at least 24 hrs. since then and actually the SP. worked...

Space Pilot Death

Today when I started my computer I noticed that my Space Pilot wasn't lighting up. The SP. wasn't being recognized by any USB port on my comp. The drivers would not start either. I hadn't installed the latest drivers because until today I hadn't had any issues with the software that I have been usin...

I could be wrong about this guys, fellow current 3d device users, but I think our drivers are being held up so they can be sure that the new drivers work with their new "Precious" the Pilot Pro. I'm sure they want to steer new inquiries to the new product but can't if they don't have drive...

I guess it's just a matter of a few more days!
days = weeks
A very poor driver development time frame in my opinion.
I know times are tight, but how about hiring some help to get these driver issues resolved.
Oh, and I'm not saying this to offend anyone.

I'm afraid I agree

RobH, I'm afraid I have to agree with you. The fact that 3Dconnexion can't have a driver ready within just a few days of a new version release like 3dsmax doesn't say much for the relations they have or should have with the software their devices support. One day of lost production multiplied by the...

Blender 2.48-x64bit version and space pilot

I can't seem to be able to get my space pilot to work with the 2.48_x64 version of blender on a Vista 64 business version of windows. I guess my question is does the new version of blender for 64 bit systems support the 3dconnexion devices and if so are there any special instructions of procedures t...

Hello Bryan,

Just to follow up.
I got my Space Nav for Notebooks today. Plugged it in and so far it has worked without any problems with the drivers and 3dxware already loaded on the system from my Space Pilot.
Only had to reverse the axes for my preference.

Thanks,
Dee

Bryan, Thanks for the quick response. After I posted I noticed there was a movie on the Space Navigator for "Notebooks" page and saw that it was recommended as a good companion for the Space Pilot. None the less it's great news to hear you say the same. I should recieve the Space Navigator...

Space Pilot and Space Navigator for Laptop on same Computer

I have a Dell Latitude D800 that I am currently using a Space Pilot on. Everything is working quite smoothly at present. I have purchased a Space Navigator for Laptops to use on the same Laptop when at home or on Job sites. Is it possible to have both of these devices on the same System? If so, Are ...

3dsmax+Space Pilot+update driver=button program problem

I am unable to program the buttons or even change to another button configuration inside of 3dsmax 2008 64-bit after updating the driver to the new version. Windows Vista Business 64-bit The space pilot worked flawless before the update. I am trying to prepare for autocad 09 and max 09 installs. Act...

ad016, I took another look at my Autocad 08 in regards to the toolbar issue your having. I too had the same situation as you describe. But when I created a new workspace and moved the 3Dconnexion toolbar to the position I wanted and saved that workspace it is holding its position. When the program l...

Thanks, ngomes For the response. I do have the latest drivers offered from Dell for my system. I could install the vendor drivers but not without losing some function keys as I understand it. Granted the upgrade may be an acceptable trade off. Could you perhaps offer some guidelines as to necessary ...

Hello ad016, I have a space pilot and have been able to make the 3dConnexion toolbar stay exactly where I wanted it to. I can't tell you exactly what I did to accomplish this but it was during a time that I was setting up a new Workspace in my 2d enviornment for Autocad 2008. With that being said it...
