I may have jumped the gun on that. It was selecting Blueprint over C++ project. The blueprint project works, while the C++ gets the compile error.

Unreal 5.0.1 and 3dConnexsion 10.8.7 Starter Content Bug
If you create a BLANK project and do NOT include Starter Content in Unreal 5.0.1 and have the latest 3Dconnexion plugin installed, the compile will fail on the project. If you create a new blank project and include the starter content, the project will open fine.
