Jerky graphics with Space pilot PRO on Solidworks

My 3d model view often gets "jerky" when rotating or zooming it in Solidworks. It simply looks like a video lag - instead of a smooth rotation I often get a few frames at a faster action (rotation or zooming). Additional notes: 1. I have been seeing this on Solidworks 2015, 2016 and 2017, ...

Re: How do you position your hand on SpacePilot?

Sorry, I expressed myself wrong - I meant not disabling pan/zoom completely, but only panning in vertical direction (the second tick-bar in Advanced settings). Is it enabled or disabled for 3d modelling in your engineering setup? PS - This forum really need the "Edit post" button ... https...

Re: How do you position your hand on SpacePilot?

PS - I will append, that I use Pan/Zoom and Rotation for joystick. I thought I shall disable Pan/Zoom and try it for a few days, maybe it will help. I would like to ask other engineers - do you use Pan/Zoom for joystick, or is it disabled for your 3d modelling setup?

How do you position your hand on SpacePilot?

I have been using Space Pilot with Solidworks for a few months now, and basically I like it. However, I can not find a very good position of my hand for rotation about X axis. I often move the model up/down or even zoom when trying to rotate about X. Rotation about other axis and other manipulations...

Re: SpacePilot PRO - solidworks and ergonomy

Also, is there any workaround to automatically "Lock 3d" when sketch is entered in part/assembly environment, and unlock it again after closing the sketch? Solidworks 2015/2016 The rotation is disabled in the Sketch mode automatically in SOLIDWORKS. This is wrong information, it does not ...

Re: SpaceMouse Pro moves erratically in Solidworks

So there has been a couple of weeks when I was working on 10.4.3 with fairly easy parts and not big assemblies (mainly up to 100 parts) in SW I haven't had one erratic jump off the screen, so 10.4.3 soft seems to solve it I think this is now fixed. I will write here if I notice anything strange in t...

Re: SpaceMouse Pro moves erratically in Solidworks

I purchased SPR a couple of months ago, and I had the exact same issue: sometimes, maybe once per hour, a little touch to the manipulator took the model away very far. My hardware: i7 + k600 quadro + simple old logitech mouse (with standard windows drivers, no special logitech software) + space pilo...

Re: SpacePilot PRO - solidworks and ergonomy

Thank you for the information. Can you tell what was the problem in this case?

Was it that the old drivers were uninstalled incorrectly or what?

Re: spacepilot pro no joy in sw 2016 sp2

Could you find a possibility to connect your device to another machine with sw 2016 sp2 but with windows 7 or 8.1? I want to buy Spacepilot PRO, but cases like this stops me. I also had problems with older plotter drivers in Win10, so I do not upgrade to windows 10. But I am interested if this is a ...

Re: SpacePilot PRO - solidworks and ergonomy

4. I am working with Solidworks - currently SW2015 and will probably upgrade to 2016 version. Do you have any issues with SpacePilot PRO with these SW versions, like software/driver bugs or similar? Something like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9Y-DyJo5pw 5. How on earth should I ed...

SpacePilot PRO - solidworks and ergonomy

Hello, I am thinking of purchasing SpacePilot PRO. I borrowed older SpacePilot just to get my hands on the joystick, and I have faced some questions thinking about newer device. I will appreciate if you share your experience. 1. You can swap all buttons with older SpacePIlot: I assigned Ctrl to Alt ...
