I believe that I have the solution for the problem described. I think that there is a part in the assembly that somehow is mated wrong and it is whithin the assembly but in a x,y,z, point somewhere. ... Hi kb9ydn, your SpaceExplorer is not supported with 3DxWare 10.6.5 as it is a legacy device. See here . You need 3DxWare 10.6.4 which you can download in the driver archive . Oh, interesting! I'm having the same problem with a Space Explorer (yes, I know it's old and unsupported). It is shown in the device manager under Human Interface Devices, but is totally unresponsive in Fusion, Solidworks, and even the 3Dconnexion viewer. The panel button doesn't even work.

There is something WAY wrong with the rotation center. It happens when you try to zoom and rotate at the same time.
