I just bought a SpaceMouse Wireless for use on my new Macbook Pro with Retina and El Capitan. In Maya 2016, the behavior is horrific. It is very choppy and slow. I have a SpaceMouse Pro on Mac OS X Mountain Lion. The SHIFT, ALT, CTRL and ESC buttons do not work. I get the error messages described above. I did as UtaSH suggested. However, this does not work. What do I do now? I need these buttons to be working (I did pay a lot for this device, you know 8) )

I resolved the issue. Apparently, I missed the pop-up menu in 3DxMacWare 1.7.2. In that menu there is the option to set rotation to the selected object.
The 3DxMacWare 10 Beta 9 does not have this option. As a result, it is unusable for me.
