DISABLE space navigator in games and mudbox question

Postby andrewe1 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 3:10 pm

Hello,

This has been bothering me for a while now, when im playing certain games, my SN gets recognized as a joystick or something and tends to make the camera or character or vehicle drift. I always unplug it but its very annoying. Is there anyway to tell the software to NOT touch anything but 3D cad apps?

Also, I see that the SN is working in mudbox 2013 now, thanks! however... The movement is all inverted... I can't seem to find a way to reverse it. I already tried creating a profile and reversing all the axis but it still does not work.

any help?

Thanks

For the games, sometimes game engines find the device out there on their own and address it. It isn't the driver unless there is a profile for it. You might try creating a profile that maps the axes to something other than joysticks, but that probably won't help if it is the game engine doing this on its own. You can try disabling it in the game's control panel.

For Mudbox, what template did you use? You need to use the 3D Mouse template for your Mudbox profile.

Sorry for the late reply, I figured out the games thing. I still can't reverse the axis in mudbox though, here's how my settings look:

I even created a new one by manually selecting the mudbox executable and selecting 3D mouse. It works fine inside mudbox, except ticking the "reverse" checkboxes does NOT make a difference.

Any tips?

thanks

Please email your profile to apisupport-win "at" 3dconnexion.com and we will have a look. This is Mudbox 2013, correct?
