Overall Speed tied to frame rate

When opening large assemblies in SolidWorks, the overall speed of the 3D mouse slows down. It appears to be tied to the frame rate. Is it possible to change this?

When in large assemblies, I tend to switch back to the mouse and keyboard navigation method (which isn't tied to the frame rate) because the 3d mouse is just too slow

Hi Bradshawpe,

is “Large Assembly Mode” active? Does it make a difference if you change that setting?

You can find it in the "Document Properties -> System Options -> Assemblies".
