Can you use the Space Pilot Pro as a regular mouse with win7

I have the space pilot pro and I would like to just use it as a regular mouse as well as other functions. Is this possible? Please let me know.

There is some support for this in the 3DxWare 10 (3DxWare Anywhere) driver which is in beta. See 3DxLabs.
