I have a problem with the mapkeys in Creo. The mapkeys are in config.pro.
Before, I was using an old SpacePilot and all my mapkeys assigned to the buttons worked well.
Now I have an SpacePilot Pro and a SpaceMouse Pro in different PCs.
Some mapkeys doesn't work. An error window in Creo shows "Illegal characters in input. Re-enter:"
This happens in Creo Parametric 2.0 M250 and Creo Parametric 3.0 M090.
The drivers are updated to 3DxWare64_v10-5-5_r2759.
PCs with Windows 7 Pro and Windows 8.1.
An example of mapkey that doesen't work:
mapkey drw @MAPKEY_LABELBrowse_DRW;~ Command `ProCmdModelOpen` ;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Trail `UI Desktop` `UI Desktop` `DLG_PREVIEW_POST` `file_open`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Open `file_open` `Type`;~ Close `file_open` `Type`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Select `file_open` `Type`1 `db_4`;
Any help?
Thanks!

Re: Problem assigning mapkeys in Creo
Hello calmanya,
have you verified if the mapkeys work if you run them without our device. For example if you add them to the toolbar?
What was the version of the previous driver you were working with and where you did not have the problems? Were you using the same mapkeys or did you add any of them?

UtaSH,
Thanks for your interest.
This mapkeys runs added to the toolbar and typing from the keyboard too.
The driver I used with the old SpacePilot (mapkeys runs ok) was "3DxSoftware64_v3-16-3_r1447"
I'm using the same mapkeys, in fact, is the same config.pro.
Thanks,

Hello calmanya,
thanks for checking. I was able to reproduce the issue and have opened a bug for our development. We are tracking this issue with our internal bug number WIN-47. I will let you know when I hear back from our dev team.

Re: Problem assigning mapkeys in Creo
Just as an aside, you can get rid of all of the UI stuff and just use the main commands. This is what I use:calmanya wrote: ↑Mon Mar 12, 2018 3:26 am An example of mapkey that doesen't work:
mapkey drw @MAPKEY_LABELBrowse_DRW;~ Command `ProCmdModelOpen` ;\

mapkey(continued) ~ Select `file_open` `Type`1 `db_4`;
Code: Select all
mapkey od @MAPKEY_LABELOpen Drawing;~ Command `ProCmdModelOpen`;\
mapkey(continued) ~ Select `file_open` `Type`1 `db_4`;
Re: Problem assigning mapkeys in Creo
Thanks mjgaisser,
I've tried your mapkey "Open Drawing".
Typing directly "od" it works, but not assigned to a button: "Illegal characters in input. Re-enter:"
Another test:
I have connected the old SpaceNavigator with the current driver. The driver recognizes it as a SpaceNavigator but the problem with the mapkeys remains the same.
Could be the problem in the 3DConnexion driver?
I'm using "3DxSoftware64_v3-16-3_r1447"
Thanks!

Re: Problem assigning mapkeys in Creo
Hi calmanya,
why are you using this old driver??? It is from 2013!!! You wrote that you have the SpacePilot Pro now; this means you can use our latest driver - 3DxWare 10.5.6. You can download it here.
