X11 pointing device
I would like to see Space Navigator as X11 input device. There is no reason not to use that device as X11 pointing device.

Drivers have not been updated since 2006 - Shameful!
18 years.
If you are going to support Linux, you should support Linux.
Keeping it up to date is a lot less work than leaving it 18 years and then having to do a complete rewrite.
Firestorm got so frustrated with the lack of support they wrote their own drivers for SecondLife.
