Space Pilot and 3DS max 2012 resets layers....

hey guys, i have lots of layers in Max 2012, so much so that i must scroll down to see them all...
when using the space Pilot 3D mouse , , when I've got the layers scrolled down ,
than i move the 3D Nob in the viewport....and than let go the layers list automatically resets back to the top .
its kinda annoying because, each time this happens i must scroll down the layers list again , and again and again.
