software needed to freely program SN for any application

Post by tstoll »

Hi folks,

I am looking for a software, where I can assign key strokes and/or other commands to the Space Navigator.

My company does develop a 3D modelling software for industrial use in the semiconductor industry and is looking for better ways to navigate within the 3D space. Since I successfully use the SN on my Mac, I wanted to see, if there is a way to implement the SN to our 3D software.

The user has to control the 3D space via keyboard (keys assigned) or mouse moves. So the easiest thing would be a software like ControllerMate (mac only ...) which translates SN moves into key strokes.

Is anyone aware of that kind of software for WinXP?

Thank you

Torsten

Hello Torsten,

Please consider to use our SDK. Information on the SDK is available here.

With the SDK you are able to implement a fluid navigation into your application which feels much more natural than emulating keystrokes. I wrote a short EMail to you regarding this.
