3DXWare values language

Postby mlutz » Mon Nov 05, 2007 7:19 am

Hello,

Sounds I got some issue with the 3DXware and Catia V5

My Catia install is using English Language.

3Dxware Control Panel starts with French. I was able to change the Menu Language into English, but the value for the button conf are still in French.

So finally when I want to use a function like "Centrer Tout" (Center All), catia Tell me that it is an unknown Command

How can I fix that

B.R.

Mathieu,
I am not certain what driver version that you are using. We may be able to resolve the problem by reinstalling the 3dx driver (if you have not already done so).
You can download the latest 3dx driver from: www.3dconnexion.com
When you install the driver, be sure to select ENGLISH for the language to be installed.

You're right --- I already did it (took the last dirver + install with the English Language)

The application starts in English but value for the button conf are still in French (which is my windows language, I do not now if this is linked)

Hello Mathieu,

you can try the following:

Important: Incorrectly editing the registry may severely damage your system. Only follow the procedure below if you are confident that you understand the instructions. Always make a backup of the registry before editing and make sure that you understand how to restore the registry if a problem occurs!

1) Open your registry editor
2) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\3Dconnexion\3DxWare or, if only applicable to the logged in user, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\3Dconnexion\3DxWare.
3) Create a new value (as string) named "CATIALocale" (without the quotes)
4) Set the value data to: 1033
5) Restart the driver

Please let us know if this worked for you.

Hi mlutz,

Are you positive about that? The software is meant to work with both sections of the Registry.
