I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers, still to no avail.
I would add my dxdiag.txt but thats not allowed so here's all my system info:

Hello smakkyoface -

The 3DxNumPad Unhandled Exception error is caused by data corruption in the "user.config" file of 3DxNumPad.exe.

To correct the problem, stop the driver then delete the folder [ or folders] inside the 3DxNumPad folder that contains the "user.config" files. [Start, All Programs, 3Dconnexion, Driver, Start Driver - Stop Driver]

The folder is located at: "C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\3Dconnexion\3DxNumPad.exe_Url..."

Restart the driver and a new "user.config" file will be created.

3DxVirtualLCD.exe depends on the availability of the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or newer.

You can check if the "Microsoft .NET Framework" option is enabled in the "Windows Features" panel. This panel is opened by clicking on "Turn Windows features on or off" on the left pane of the "Programs and Features" panel (Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features).

I get the same messages. When I follow your instructions to correct the problem, [Start, All Programs, 3Dconnexion, Driver, Start Driver - Stop Driver] I get to 3DConnection, but no Driver start or Driver stop. Any suggestions? I am running Windows 7.

Make sure you have the current driver installed 3.17.6
If you donot see a driver folder you're running an old driver, or you donot have the 3dx driver installed.

Are you actually getting:
3DxVirtualLCD and or 3DxNumpad Unhandled Exception error or a diffent error?
Are you using the Standard driver 3.17.6 or the Beta 3-10-16?

You may have to do a Clean install.

The start and stop driver should appear in the driver folder will appear when using the standard driver.
If your using the Beta driver its set to be run differently and doesnt include a start stop its alway running like a mouse driver.

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\3Dconnexion\3DxVirtualLCD.exe...
Open the folder3dxvirtual folder
Open the 1.0.10.0 file
Delete the user.config
Close then restart the computer (Since your running the Beta, the driver launches differently than the 3.7.16 driver.)
If this doesnt work you'l have to wait for a programmer to respond they handle the Beta driver.
