ok :?
Do you have any ideas about problems I got with the Beta12? What did you mean with "Turn on the log file and attach it to your reply."?
Thanks

I don't even know what you were running. There are no French error messages in 3DxWare 10, so I'm thinking you were always working with 3.15.5. Clean up your machine, with the help of our helpdesk, and try it again.

Hi!

First, thank you for releasing beta 12!

I installed it on my XPsp3 (32bit) workstation and I have the same problems I had with beta 11: The configuration dialog won't open, causing an error message stating the driver service needs to be restarted.

For reference, I explained the error here: http://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=24644&sid=e266bb71cf482924549320dc6cbdf933&sid=e266bb71cf482924549320dc6cbdf933#p24644 and here: http://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=24256&sid=e266bb71cf482924549320dc6cbdf933&sid=e266bb71cf482924549320dc6cbdf933#p24256

I have tuned my system for low latency audio playback which meant disabling quite a few of the default background services in Windows. Could you please provide me with the requirements of your driver in regard to running services/servers (IPC and other), available DLLs and possibly the details of the driver startup sequence (I saw some scheduled tasks in the TaskManager as well as RunDLL-processes AFAIR...)?

Thanks a lot!

Jwick I know I made mistake writting my posts, yes I used the 3.5.15 version when I got error message "impossible d'ouvrir une interface utilisateur". I know its not directly the subject but it could help the others. When you install beta version and then decide to install the original driver, you will rich this message. And the only solution is to make a clean uninstall but.... Just one information, when you are going to delete 3Dconnection folder and spwini.dll and iappdll.dll : use windows search. There is others that are not indicate in the process here:
http://www.3dconnexion.com/nc/service/f ... d%5D=clean
For me it was the solution. Hope it will help you.

About 3DxWare 10.

Anyway, you told me that beta versions are only in english I chose english but I got the same error message. I decided to answear "yes". As I could see last time, it doesn't install everything (like driver folder).

Better than uninstall it, I decided to install again. So the software proposed to me "remove","repair" and something else. I choose "repair".
And surprise, it worked!!! It's completly mysterious...

I don't know if this will help with installing, but perhaps making sure both Program Files folders and both user folders are deleted might avoid the error?
After removing from Programs and Features in the control panel.
C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion
C:\Program Files (x86)\3Dconnexion
C:\Users\your profile\AppData\Roaming\3Dconnexion
C:\Users\your profile\AppData\Local\3Dconnexion
Just a guess, might not help.

Quick question about beta 12:
Is the ability to make throttle act as a regular axis option still on the todo list by chance?
This one simple option would open up full 6dof to applications that don't recognize Ry, but do recognize throttle.
Eliminating the need for inferior hacks of substituting an axis with 2dmouse emulation, assuming that the application even allows this (some don't.)
Some apps reset the pointer position each frame when reading 2dmouse input, which is yet another undesirable hack (2dmouse movements should really be dedicated to just pointer control.)

Sorry to hear that, well I hope you get it solved soon!

Regarding the throttle axis:
I only ask because last June a user posted a reminder on this same subject (non-persistant throttle)
http://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=22916
And it was hinted that it might be added in the next release, which I thought this was.
I had hoped to use this to enable full 6dof to make some illustrative videos showing-off the full power/usefulness of 3dmice on the web-browser.
But I gather it is not to be this time around. :( Perhaps next release!

Some more bugs for you:
1. It appears that the 3DxWare software does not like waking up. When my computer wakes up the mouse is extremely slow, as if the CPU is overloaded. Keyboard input works perfectly. Going to the task manager the process tab is completely blank. I will update later as I will keep an eye on it; I dont usually have my computer sleep.

2. The Windows key does not operate properly through your macro system. If I enter it as a regular macro the key press after the windows key is not recognized -> ( +Left Windows -Left - Left Windows)
If I edit it in the XML file to include the +Left then the macro operates properly, but the computer also sees a left key press.
I tested this same macro in MacroToolworks and it works just fine in that program; it is something in the 3DxWare macro handling.

3. It would be nice to be able to edit macros instead of just "Add" and "Remove"

Add Remove Panel?

Wouldn't ask if it was that easy.
Tried to uninstall it manually as was mentioned in one of the posts but every time i try to re-install it gives me an error. If i try to run setup for 3DxWinCore64 directly, it says that this component is already installed and that i have to remove it before installing it again.
