Well, I'm not really very good at reading most of this code, could you elaborate on what this does with Mudbox?

Specifically, I'm trying to figure out how to make the controller work within Mudbox as it does in Maya (in object mode). I've used the driver's gui to act as mouse input, but it feels clunky and the mouse ends up moving out of the work area.

Mudbox has been released by Autodesk with 3D mouse support. It works very well.
You don't use the 3DxWare 10 keyboard mapping profile. It is natively supported in the app.
