spacemouse plus XT serial can not work with

Hello everybody
I am new to the forums and require some help if possible.
I use spacemouse plus XT with serial port in windows XP for CATIA V5. It can well done.

Last week I changed my computer into a new one. The new computer don't have the com port. So I bought an USB to com cable. The drive for the cable and the spacemouse are both well installed. But the 3DxWare can not start, it showed cannot find a 3D Device.

The Spacemouse Serial device is a Legacy device.
Support ended in 2006. There are no drivers for WIN7 only WIN XP drivers for the Serial device.

Using a serial to usb cable will not identify the device as a usb it is still a serial device, requiring the serial driver to be installed. You will most likely
have to get a Serial card installed.

its been said before its time to purchase a new device.
All our new devices are WIN7 compatible

This isnt supported but you can try running the driver in XP mode:
You would also have to run the apps in the same mode otherwise the device wont get recognized.
I believe this is a virtual mode and Microsoft would be the place to contact for assistance.
