install info for ubuntu 11.04..such a NOOB am I

i just started with ubuntu 11.04, never did command line etc.. i have gotten video drivers in; second life; BUT i cant figure how to install spacenavigator,,most confounding.. any advice[within reason] is welcome.. thanks,, T

Dear teemark,

Do a search on our Driver Download Page under the Service Menu on www.3dconnexion.com.

It will populate a table with download links.

Download to your computer, close all your applications and install.
Select a complete install.
Select to have the drivers start automatically.
Reboot.
Test in one of our Demos.

well i DID get the drivers and FINALLY got a terminal to install. i DID select start at boot.. BUT i have "nothing" that i can see. no "control panel" like in windows.. its does nothing in second life , but it DOES light up..demos i guess are the xcube?? i have NO idea how to "open" them..

~$ sudo bash install-3dxunix.sh

$ /etc/3DxWare/daemon/3dxsrv -d usb
these are the last couple of commands..
HELP.. lol

i have found the problem and it is IN THE MIRROR<,,!! duh ME helps to have it ENABLED In SECOND LIFE sorry for all the aggravation i may have caused
