What's the difference?

Upon installing my spanking new SpacePilot Pro - I was prompted to use THIS http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd23 ... in7-64.png
to install the proper Drivers for the device.
Then I see for use everywhere software that THIS is offered as an option:

What is the difference and how do you install BOTH or do I only need one of them? It doesn't want to install both so I am entirely confused as to how to get this to work with all the programs I bought it to function with. Must I vasilate between the two drivers to get it to work in all the environments I want to us it in? Since some applications require to run without one or the other of the afformentioned installs. Please can someone clear up this foggy issue for me. There are only a few days left on being able to call for a return product slip (which I DO NOT want to do). Any helpful info will be greatly appreciated.
