3dConnexion Battlefield 3

Postby jheritage » Mon Nov 07, 2011 4:06 am

1. In 3dMouse settings ensure that all axes are set to Joystick accordingly. You will need all of them to pilot the helicopters. Make sure they match up correctly top to bottom.

2. In Battlefield control options, you will need to select the movement in the Joystick column and move the 3dMouse controller in the desired direction for it to register.
(Dont move it in 2 directions at once while setting controls and it only needs the slightest movement to register)

3. Remove wanted input controls from the mouse

4. All movement controls are possible from the 3dConnexion mouse

5. It is also possible to setup the top 4 buttons on the space pilot for flares, or thrust. However, for the Helicopter you may want to use the "pull up and push down" vertically in the Z axis

Hy,

my English isn't quite good, so i hope you understand my questions.

I have tried to use my space navigator in BF3 but it won't work well. I have always a strong drift.
I tried to calibrate the space navigator, but the drift was still there.
In CAD software or with the demo cube, there is no drift.

My 3d connexion panel doesn't look like yours, is there another driver available?
What can I do to fix this?

i run the newest driver from 3d connexion.
- Release version 3.14.2
- driver Version 6.14.0
- Firmware 4.04

Thanks for your help!!!

Hi rischr,

yes, there is a beta driver that people here in this forum thread are using. You can download it from our 3DxLabs site. It is 3DxWare 10.0.11.

Hi UtaSH,

Thanks for your help. I thought that the official released driver is the "special" one.
Now it worked very well.

Thanks!!
