Windows IE

I watched the video example of using the 10 beta driver with Internet IE but must be missing something.
Without reading the plithera of postings can someone point me in the direction of setting up my Space Pilot Pro the same way....

Thanks,

Windows IE & Office support

Postby Antone » Thu Apr 21, 2011 9:15 am

I remember, way back when, there was a driver for MS Office which also worked well with PDF's and IE.
If I understand the 10 Beta and interpret the video demonstrations appropriately I come to the conclusion there is again an interest in supporting these applications.
Not to diminish the necessity of a 3D Controller for CAD and computer graphics but as long as you have the device next to you why not have access to the full breadth and width of its capabilities. Manipulating the view port of documents using a 3D Controller is stellar.
The problem I have is I cannot seem to get it to work with these applications. Can someone please point me in the right direction?
I've been using 3D Controllers since before 3D Connexion purchased Magellan and Space Tech.

I appreciate the help..

The public beta releases of 3DxWare 10 have had support for Word, Excel and Internet Explore out-of-the-box. Bring on of these applications to focus and see if the 3D mouse will move the document view.

If you see no movement, then we likely have a bug.

Nothing

Postby Antone » Fri Apr 22, 2011 6:28 am

I've tried a number of things but cannot get any reaction in MS word, Excel or Internet.
I downloaded and installed the Beta 10 but the Help About reports...
Release Version: 3.12.3
Driver Version: 6.12.1
Firmware Version 4.11
Device Type: SpacePilot PRO

Is that right???

You currently have the the standard driver installed.
You have to uninstall this driver before downloading and installing the 3DxWare 10 beta 9 driver.
To locate the Beta driver go to our home page;
Highlight Supported software
Over on the far right choose 3DxLabs
You will find the 3DxWare driver for your OS.
Save the file to your pc
Then install after the download completes
Make sure you donot have any applicaitons open during the install.
