Macro for mudbox

Hi I've got a mudbox profile that's working pretty well but there is one thing I can't figure out how to do.

I want to assign the "1"button to adjusting brush size.

The problem is that, in mudbox, you hold down the "b" button and adjust the size by moving the mouse while the button is depressed. Then when you release the button you're back to drawing mode.

I can't firgure out how to emulate this using a macro. I can get a macro to emulate pressing and releasing a key. Or holding a key down permenantly. But I cant get it to stay down while the space explorers key is down.

Does this make sense?

a very good question. As far as I know it is not possible to create a usable 'press-and-hold'-macro. You can create a macro with the letter 'b' and delete the last entry (the key release), but this only leads to a mess (as if the keyboard 'b' key is constantly being pressed). There is always the possibility to edit the xml of the Mudbox profile and manually add another macro for the 'b' key release, and later assign this second macro to, say button 2. But I don't know exactly how to edit the xml for this purpose.

What works is to assign an axis to the letter 'b'. Tick the 'Press And Hold' radio button, and it should work. You may need to restart Mudbox.

Mudbox has been released by Autodesk with 3D mouse support. It works very well.
