SpacePilot vs. Spaceball

does the spacepilot use the same "interface" as the spaceball?
my question is, if i can use a spacepilot with a software that is working with a spaceball.
in this regard: are those two devices compatible???

Hi Martin,

If the application you are asking about used the 3Dx SDK, then the SP should work. If not, we would have to know more about the application to answer. The devices themselves are not in any way shape or form binary compatible. One may be serial and the other USB. The 3DxWare driver provides the compatibility.
