Support for OpenVSP

Hi folks,

I am an Aerospace Engineer and use an open-source program called OpenVSP to assist with conceptual design and aerodynamic analysis of aircraft. I also use Dassault 3D experience.

I was wondering what the process is to get support for the SpaceMouse in OpenVSP? Is it up to the developers of OpenVSP, or is it something that 3Dconnexion can support with the development? I see that other open-source projects like FreeCAD support the SpaceMouse, so I was hoping to find out how that came about and how we could make it happen for OpenVSP.

I've seen on the OpenVSP forum that this functionality is being requested, so I thought that I'd also see if there's anyone who might be willing to help out.

Any feedback or pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Since your employer is exploiting you as an employee to help create value and generate profit for the company you work for, why not devote some of your time contributing to the development of OpenVSP project by integrating the 3Dconnexion 3DxWare SDK APIs into the source code?
