Do you support Windows 2000?

Postby znissan » Sun Dec 10, 2006 6:02 pm

The latest release on our website, which includes support for SpaceNavigator and SpaceExplorer, does not support Windows 2000. 3Dconnexion is currently working on a Windows 2000 driver , and we will provide an update on its status shortly. Support for Windows 2000 with our devices will be provided within the 3Dconnexion forum only.

Hi there@ 3DConnexion.

First: a great new year 2007 and:

Desperately waiting for SpaceNavigator W2K support too.

Is there a chance in January 07?

Five SpaceNavigators are waiting for W2K-Drivers at my company...

My users are still on holiday, but in a few days, they want to start working with there new 3d-equipment.

Nothing more to say...

W2K support

Postby dbruce » Tue Jan 30, 2007 6:33 am

Please add me to the list of notification. I'm surprised that this wasn't originally released with Windows 2000 support. (rather short sighted, don't you think?) I guess my bad for not reading all the requirements. I purchased the SpacePilot as a warranty replacement, the sales people never asked. So now I have a user who can not use the SpacePilot. What are my options? Upgrade my OS? Not gonna happen. Wait for the anticipated support driver's? don't have a choice, as long as it is soon. OTHERWISE I WILL BE LEFT WITH NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO NOT PURCHASE ANY MORE SPACEPILOT for our User group. So, can you please advise as of the date of the PATCHED driver?
Thanks

Ken,
I didn't realize at the time of my post that you guys already had a fix for the this, sorry about that. I had no problem installing the beta fix. The user is currently using the spacepilot. What he originally experienced were issues with his mouse and keyboard. The problems went away after I uninstalled the spacepilot. That is when I fully investigated the requirements. Anyway, thanks for a quick reply, I appreciate it.
