I´m using the SP in 3 ways:
WinXP SP2:
-native boot via Bootcamp - in Solid Edge
-Same Win via Parallels 6 in SE
this works good.

OS X:
-Using the 3D Cap with 2 Buttons and of the SP in Rhino and other Mac applications and Joystick replace
would like to use the SP to in AutoCad 3d

Earlier in this thread flomotan clarifies that this is a bug and the new version (called 10.0.4) does not identify as 10.0.4, but still as 10.0.3.

Why is SpacePilot supported on Windows beta but not on Mac ?
Will Space Pilot be supported on OSX later or not?

that's exactly my question. On the download page, the SP is not mentioned.

3Dconnexion has not positioned the SpacePilot has a product for OS X. It was pretty much a Windows -only product.

We have no plans to support the original SpacePilot on OS X.

When I click your link, I am required to login (even though I already am) and then it tells me that I am "not authorized to read that forum".

I think the link requires the forum number in order to work. ( f=36 )

Not that finding the article manual was difficult. :)

And so, i´m not Understand, why you can not insert a unofficial way to get only the Keys of the SP working (i want to use it for Shortcuts)
I´m sure you could implement the Keysupport like a Joystickdriver for OS X or something else.

The SP lays on my Desktop, even when i´m not working in Windows on a CAD, so i want to use it in OS X because more Keys are more possibilities get it? :?

This is very disappointing. I understand that the SpacePilot is an older product, and discontinued, and marketed as a Windows-only product..... But, I know this thing cost a lot of money when it was new. From a technological point of view, is this thing really that much different from the SpacePilot Pro which allegedly IS supported? It seems like adding support for the SpacePilot should not be a major effort. However, judging from the response I must be wrong. Considering that I am obviously not the only person wishing for this, this is disappointing nonetheless...

If the driver platform was open source, someone out there would gladly take care of this.
