Is it possible for the LCD backlight to dim when Windows 10 PC goes to sleep/screen saver.
I don't like the idea of the LCD being on all night.

This feature already exists if you lock your screen. If your computer goes to sleep the USB port should not provide power to the device therefore the LCD should be turned off.
Can you confirm that this behavior is the same on all USB ports of the computer ?
On some computers you can set the USB port to not supply power when the computer is not turned on, this may be worth a look.
