SpaceMouse Wireless for AutoCAD 2D

I use AutoCAD 2D exclusively and I'm wondering how well a SpaceMouse wireless would work with that, I have no need for it in any 3D environment. I currently use a standard 3 button mouse and am considering a change to either a finger operated tackball or maybe this mouse. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

you can use the 3D mouse to pan and zoom in AutoCAD in 2D mode. Additionally you will have the buttons where you can map the functions that you use more often. See our website:
