I wrote to tech support on 18 July 2017 requesting a link to the beta drivers but as yet have not received a reply (As at 20th). Currently, for me, not having SpaceNavigator functionality in 3DS Max 2018 basically makes both the device AND the software unusable. Given that 2018 has been out for 3 mths, it's incredible that new drivers have not yet been released and that users need to beg for access to beta drivers before getting access to them. Why is it necessary to submit a support ticket when a simple disclaimer attached to the beta version would appease everyone desperate to use their devices - at least long enough until the full release version came out?

Hi DaveCaxton,

as I mentioned we answered your request a few hours after we received it. I apologize for the inconvenience. We will publish the a new driver version soon. This version will include support for 3dsmax 2018 (amongst others).

Can you define "soon"? Before end of the year, before max 2019 release or what?

Still waiting for drivers 4 months after 2018 release. I'm assuming your sole developer has just been on vacation the whole time. It really should not take this long. You probably could have completely rewritten the driver in this amount of time.

I have sent multiple requests to support over the months for the beta driver with no response. I need 2018 drivers ASAP.

Hi Needdrivers,

did you contact our team through the support channel? I could not find a request from that email address that you used for the forum. :(

Four months of waiting and still you are able to produce only carp. This problem reappeared: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max- ... -p/5126284 You have managed to fix it once, please try to do it again, and please do it fast!!

Have you thought to hire some professional coders to your company?! Based on your results I'm guessing that you are using only first year students in your software department. I'm sure they are cheap, but they also make your customer service suck - and big time!

Does anyone know any alternatives for 3dConnexion products? I can't work anymore without the 3d-mouse, but I'm getting really frustrated to 3dConnexion - it has have been this same situation every year at least previous seven to eight years I have used their products.

A driver has been released as I'm sure you've seen. However, a few of us are having issues with it so the Beta might server you better for now.

The main issue is that if you have dual monitors and click out of Max to go to another application, the Max viewport will rotate to a side view. If you had a carefully aligned or zoomed in view, that gets lost. It also moves cameras. So if you spend a lot of time setting up a camera and then click to read email, your camera will rotate and you'll have to do it again.

Hi

The latest drivers that work with 3dsMax 2018 (3DxWare64_v10-5-1_r2664 and 3DxWare64_v10-5-0_r2648) are useless.
Slow and unresponsive. I have rolled back to 3DxWare64_v10-4-10_r2558 and downsaved to Max 2016...much better.
is anyone else having this problem? it is the first time I am so disappointed with 3d connexxion.

Regards
A
