2d Mouse Support

Post by chud575 »

Hi there,

I'm confused - when I go to the configurator and try to apply 2D Mouse (just move the mouse) it's always coupled with a click. Isn't there anyway to just default the darn thing to a 2d mouse?

Hi chud575,

what 3Dconnexion device are you using? A CadMouse? Or a 3D mouse?

In case you have a 3D mouse - the 3D mouse was designed to be used in 3D applications, like CAD, CAM, DCC, but not to move the cursor.

Hi,

I'm using a SpaceMouse.

Thing is - before I installed the driver it actually was working as a 2D mouse, and also, you can assign it to work as a 2d mouse, but on the screen it's always coupled with a click, as I said.

a 3d mouse. But here's the thing - before installing the drivers it actually was doubling as a 2d mouse, and the settings are there to have this functionality as well, it's just that when you set it to go left or right, it also continuously clicks the left or right button.

Hi chud575,

note that with High Sierra you have to allow the 3Dconnexion kernel extension. See here how to do that.

Does this help?
