3Dconnexion has launched a new web service: 3Dconnexion Labs (3DxLabs for short).
The service is hosted at http://www.3dconnexion.com/labs and is a new channel for 3Dconnexion to show new software solutions. Software still in a "beta" stage or plug-ins for applications that 3Dconnexion would like its customers to have early access will appear in 3DxLabs.
The service is launched with three software packages:
- 3DxCollage
A stand-alone application, "3Dconnexion Collage" is an image viewer and collage producer. Allows users to assemble pictures in a larger frame with a 3D mouse. This is the first public release of the software.
- 3DxWorldWind
A plug-in for NASA World Wind. With a 3D mouse, users can navigate a 3D model of planet Earth. The software was previously available as a separate download.
- 3DxMagellanProxy
A solution to enable the use of 3D mice in Siemens NX for Mac OS X.
This is the first public release of the software.
- And more...
Check the site here.
Users of the service will have the ability, through a web form, to send suggestions and other feedback to 3Dconnexion. They are also encouraged to discuss the software available in 3DxLabs on this Forum. The service is available in English only.
