Relief
Ahhhh....relief! Version 3.12 made the problems I was complaining about mostly go away. I am basically happy. The only new problem I see is that choosing the COR with the middle mouse button seems to be much harder to do now (or much less sensitive?). I have to press and hold the middle mouse all ov...

mbonk, the Horizon Lock was on when I did the original test. I understand what the driver is supposed to do and that what is happening to me...should not be. But it is. I would be surprised if you didn't have the same result doing the same thing in your own test. Pick an object, roll on the horizon,...

I made a movie showing the problem.
Fred, thank you for responding to the concerns. To make it easier to understand the problem, I would recommend you show the attached video to the engineers looking at this problem. I think it is self-explanatory. Notice that the problem occurs when you tilt above and over the center of rotation hori...

I am starting to think that my problem is related to yours. I complained about the rolling axis not responding correctly and was told they didn't have anyone else with the problem so to just uninstall the new 3.11 drivers. But now I think we are all having the same problem in 3DS Max. I've had some ...

Is anyone from 3DConnexion out there?
Posted this question about the erratic rolling situation with the new 3.11 and have not heard a peep. Can anyone out there help a poor animator?
Thanks again, Mike
Thanks again, Mike

New problem v3.11 in 3DsMAX - rolling motion is going crazy!
Since installing 3.11, I have ongoing problems controlling just the roll axis. Sometimes I roll right and it does, indeed, roll right - just as expected. Other times, I try to roll right and it starts to roll left. So then I roll left and it still rolls left! I have recalibrated, reversed axis and m...

That is correct: I am on 64-bit Vista. I do not see a Sideshow folder under the LCD Manager folder. Is it possible activating Sideshow with the component64 version of ladpinst.msi doesn't work like the 32-bit version?? One thing I will say is that even when I completely uninstalled everything and th...

Ok, well I do appreciate all your help but it appears to be futile, unfortunately. Sideshow just doesn't want to work on my system. I have followed your instructions and also a few variations with no success. Every time I load ladpinst.msi, it starts to load but then just closes the install window a...

sideshow
Nuno, I just wanted to say thank you for your thorough and quick response. I do appreciate it. I did try following your instructions but the main problem was that I only have "LADPInst.msi" and "3DxLcdApplets64.msi" from my original install CD. When I run LADPInst.msi, it says &q...

Sideshow
uludwig, thanks for your response....but how come 3DConnexion gives such different responses to the same question? Fred (Moderator), for example, clearly states how to enable SideShow in the LCD Manager in a previous post. Also, Logitech's own blog specifically says that in release 3.02, SpacePilot ...

SpacePilot Pro and Windows SideShow
So I reviewed all the previous posts on this topic and have still not been able to get SideShow to work on my new SpacePilot Pro. It does not show up under Windows Side Show in the control panel and it does not show up under "Programs" in the LCD Manager. Any other places to look or things...
