See the 'How to make 'FREE FLY MODE' the default behavior...' section...

Sadly, Blender will not allow free flying arounda scene while 'Rotate Around Selection' is also active.

Re: Compatibility with CAD mouse and Space Pilot (and pro)
Official support for the SpacePilot ended in March of 2013 (replaced by the SpacePilot Pro), so I doubt compatibility was ever tested with the new CAD Mouse. They stopped making the SpacePilot Pro in 2016 (replaced by the Spacemouse Enterprise), but it is still supported till 2019, so you should be ...

Re: re-add software options for other apps/games
The 'Beta forum' was for pre-release versions of the 10.x software back in 2011-ish.
It was closed sometime after the software was officially released.
It has nothing to do with beta versions of current software.

Re: SpaceMouse Plus USB not working on iMac
3dConnexion stopped officially supporting the USB SpacemousPlus back in 2009
I am surprised that you can get it to do much at all. At least that means there is hope.
Does the 3dconnexion driver preferences even recognize it as a SpacemousePlus?
(i have no Macintosh, so I am shooting blind)

Re: SpacePilot and Logitech Gaming drivers
I have a spacePilot and a G13 (among other Logitech products). Since you are all, you know, the same company, when do you plan on fixing the LCD driver incompatibility between the Logitech Gaming driver on the G13 and the SpacePilot? You have known about it for years according to these forums, i wo...

Re: Plans for a keyboard?
They have done it it before... sort of..
Circa 2003.... Back when they were part of Logitech..
A quality keyboard with mechanical switches would be nice addition though..

Re: Blender and Input profiles
Blender does not use the 3dconnexion profile settings. Changes made there have no effect in Blender. It only appeared to use the 3dMax profile because those were the defaults settings within Blender. You will need to go into Blender's user preferences and change those setting manually. http://spacem...

Re: Which 3d mouse to get?
The 6dof mechanisms inside the different models are identical, so it should not make any difference in the way it interprets directional inputs.
