yes i did that just makes the object move around, i want to orbit around whatever is selected, just like the driver used to work in max 2010.

i mapped a key to rotate selection that did not work. to be clear i want the blue + to move to whatever I select and the 3d Connexion device to use that as its center. right not my large scene to dificult to move around it.

I read a thread that said this option has been made available again, Can you tell me how to get the rotation axis back on whatever I select without having to Control and MMB?

also why was this changed i dont get the logic, the blue + just seems to float around?

That does not seem to work, yes i can move the camera left and right, and tilt it up and down. but I cant zoom in and out, the motion is nothing like when using a spaceball, or spacepilot in other CAD programs. Sometimes with SpacePilot (win64x) i cant zoom in very close, it becomes a wresting match to zoom in. is there an issue the the device and max? is there some setting in max that is holding me back from zooming in? thanks

Reinstalled V3.8.1, no luck is this driver working with Maya 2009 64 SP1?

If so what should I do to get it working other than uninstall/reinstall?

In SW2009 SP4, Latest drivers for SpacePilot, often a custom function will go away and the device will reset to the default. Is there a trick to keeping my custom functions?
